Graduation at Renea

14 of our Rise Africa children graduated on 13th September at Renea Secondary School in Arusha, Tanzania. We (Christopher & Amanda Faulkner)were so honoured to be guests of honour at the ceremony. There were many speeches and dance displays and we felt so proud to watch the Rise Africa children receive their certificates. These children have worked so hard enduring challenging conditions at home but all graduated looking so smart with big smiles and looking forward to a brighter future.

Bras for Africa

A big thank you to everyone that has donated bras to us for Tanzania. We have collected a huge selection of all colours shapes and sizes. We are heading to Tanzania on the 10th September so we are looking forward to distributing them. Bras are expensive and essential so we cannot wait to see the joy these will give not only to the children but also to their Mums.

Grub Club raises money for raincoats

The evening was a wonderful combination of delicious food cooked by Master Chef finalist Giovanna Ryan, networking and fundraising. The evening raised enough to purchase raincoats for all the children, so they can walk to school and not be soaking wet when they arrive. A massive thank you from Rise Africa UK.

Grace’s Tennis Challenge

Grace loves tennis so she thought it would be a good way to raise some money to help Rise Africa UK’s ‘Chicken Project’. Grace is going to hit 300 tennis balls every day for 2 weeks.
